I would like to change political correctness to bring it in line with common sense. I would like personal litigation to allow the individual to take responsibility for themselves if they so wish and remove the right to sue if they so wish. I would like to change the policy of there being no collective responsibility to allowing us all to look out for each other without fear of retribution in court.

it seems in this life we are overcome by greed (some people call it enthusiasm, energy) and every now and again we get a knock (a life event, a death, a disappointment) and we then say that it puts things into perspective however within a short space of time we are back to our habits...we need to take more time to reflect otherwise the important things in life will pass us by

Age has become a disability! Starting a business at any age is difficult, at 50+ it is even more challenging! Any advice on this issue should carry a "Government Wealth Warning". The current government are only just getting to grips with the facts and realities of over 20 years of ageist discrimination across the workplace. Probabley because of this out of balance displacement of a large skilled and experienced sector of workers, who will probably never get the opportunity of a "proper" job again, the over 50s are being enticed and cajoled into going self empoyed: there is advice but little effective support or funding. AND certainly no safety net. There is no room or time to make mistakes at 50+, caution rules.
Exciting times for some if they have the funds to create a sustainable business even if it is just for the fun of it! However for those over 50 that need to WORK to survive this type of self employment iniative can be no solution with out financial support.

We try to change the world but do not believe we have to change ourselves. Our motivations are naturally personal and often selfish, but in this new age we live in, we need to see that all our personal judgements affect others greatly. So, we need to take more responsibility for the results of our actions.

I have a teenager who always puts other people first and gives up his seat on the bus for someone wno needs it more than him and the sheer amount of people especially the elderly who dont say thankyou is incredible.
Giving people money to sit at home and not encouraging them to get jobs MUST STOP. All they are teaching their children is how to cheat the system so we have yet another generation living on hand outs and not knowing the satisfaction of earning thier own money. Income support and unemployment benefit should be limited to 5 years in a persons lifetiime untill they reach retirement.
Give the money saved from making the long term unemployed work to students who are living away from home and going to university This will benefit the country in the long run by providing young people who are well educated and who will put those skills back into the work place.
It may take a while to see improvement but as we should have learned from past experience throwing money at a problem does not solve it.
Ban easy access to loans by companies who prey on people who just cant afford it in the first place and are using money gained by benefits to pay for things they just dont need. What is wrong with saving up

Being an ex smoker i sympathise with all smokers who cannot stand inside to smoke, and in an ideal world every club, bar, restuarant would have two rooms!! However even when i smoked i never did so around other non-smokers. We know that passive smoking can kill people, and smokers should all respect the fact that people should have the choice not to inhale passive smoke.

Listening to the four-day week podcast it strikes me that work life balance is not so much a question of how to better draw boundaries between work and life but more to acknowledge that work is part of life and to better integrate it. I am wondering whether we need to reframe the problem in order to come up with new and innovative solutions to improve peoples lives.

I would change the way black people are treated in this country. I feel as though we have to work twice as hard to get jobs that we are capable of doing when we are highly educated, experienced and also highly skilled. We are continuously overlooked and this is something that needs to change and if I could change this and bring about more equality, I definitely would.

as a youth worker in Nottingham, I am well aware of the challenges faced by one group of people mistreating another. We have young people, who cause trouble and intimidate others and we have young people who are good law abiding respectful people. All young people feel resentful because, good or troublesome, they are tarred with the same brush. Some youth are abusive and rude to adults. Youth on the whole are abused by the system due to lack of good care and support for them. We need to included one another more and work together. no more putting on youth clubs for young people and banning those that need help forcing them on the streets. We need better parenting skills, and new iniatives. we need a more encouraging attitude towards our next generation. Our young people need to be taught values of respect, kindness and service of others. Instead we are showing them selfishness and contempt.

The only thing that would make this world a better place is if you got rid of the idea that being in a position of authority and power makes men like God.
The kingdom of God will replace them anyway, (we pray so Matt. 6:10)
Jesus is the only worthy and approved world ruler - he demonstrated this truth:
“whoever wants to become great among you must be your minister,
and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave.
Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister”
It’s going to happen! see Revelations 11:15; Daniel 2:44

I would like to see people go back to basics. We all moan about how Britian joined the EC and how we are fast becoming Americans. Yet we like to go on holiday there! Double standards or what? What we need to do is a little mre repsectful things like kindness, repect our elders, manners, how we speak to others. What we have is foul mouthed young people calling others names, swearing, and a whole lot of spitting. We are becoming what we moan about Americans. With bad attitudes, more and more young people not getting education and leaving school only to sit on their backsides because they think everyone owes them a life. What we have is fat, lazy young people wantoing more and more for nothing. I am 45 I have a son who is 15 he is in at dark, just like me when I was young he doesnt swear, smoke, binge drink becasue I know what he is up to at all times wheter he knows it or not. I have a good network of friends who also if they would see him doing something stupid would mention it to me. Ban the hoodies it is very intimidating. No one should be afraid to approach a 14 year old. Make parents responsible for their kids. They get picked up doing something anti-social you can be rest assured t more than likely comes from the parents behaviour. Kids learn things from home. If we are to continue the attitude of the Americans, adopt their attitude 3 times your out. Stonger repurcussions. Stop paying the kids to sit on their backside by limiting the dole to 12 weeks. It might make them think twice before sponging off the system. Stop payemtns to parents after 16 weeks it will make them look for work. We need to change with the times but go back to basics and adopt some of what we are learning from other countries, such as America. Back to basics like what we all talk abotu but dont do! Adopt some new options, all we need to do is basic thinking. good luck England we need it!
